• 2 packs Sympli Yam Cubes
  • 6 large tomatoes
  • 2 red bell peppers
  • 120mL palm oil
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 big onion bulb
  • 1/2 tbsp ground pepper
  • 1/2 tbsp curry powder
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1 tbsp crayfish
  • 375g shredded smoked fished
  • 3 seasoning cubes
  • 2kg shredded green vegetables (efo tete)


How to Prepare Yam in Vegetable Sauce.

Heat up 475mL water in a big pot; bring to a rolling boil.

Add Sympli Yam Cubes (remember: no need to wash or defrost), and cook for 7 minutes.

While the yam is cooking, blend together the fresh tomatoes, fresh pepper, 1 red bell pepper, onion and garlic.

Heat palm oil in a small pot and add the blended purée. Mix thoroughly, and leave to fry for about 5 minutes, or until oil starts to bubble on the surface.

Add the fried purée, curry powder, thyme, seasoning cubes, dry ground pepper, ground crayfish, shredded smoked fish and salt to taste. Stir thoroughly to combine; leave to simmer for three minutes.

Stir in shredded green vegetables, and mix thoroughly. Taste for salt, and adjust if required.

Add in the cooked yam cubes, and mix thoroughly. Leave to simmer for just one minute. Remove from heat, and serve. Visit the home page here.
