- 1 pack Sympli Yam Fries
- Pack of shrimps
- Vegetable oil
- 2 large garlic cloves
- 1 large onion
- 1 tbsp dry pepper
- 2 large cucumbers
- 10 carrots
- 1 large green pepper
- 500g cabbage
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 seasoning cube
How to Prepare Yam Fries with Shrimp and Salad .
Peel the garlic cloves, and crush. Slice the onions. Dice 3 carrots, 1 green bell pepper, 1 cucumber, and set aside.
Place 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a pan, and place on medium heat for 3 minutes. Add diced onions and crushed garlic; stir until golden brown.
Add shrimps, allow to cook for 3 mins, then add the diced green pepper, carrots and cucumber. Stir periodically for 2 minutes. Then add ½ teaspoon of dry pepper and 1 cube of seasoning; stir evenly and set aside.
Chop the cabbage, lettuce and second cucumber. Grate 3 carrots. Mix everything together in a bowl. Add 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise into the mixture, stir evenly, and set aside in the refrigerator.
Heat 20cl of vegetable oil in a frying pan for 4 minutes, and add 1 pack Sympli Yam Fries (directly from frozen) to the oil.
CAUTION: The oil may bubble and pop out of the fryer. Place only one piece at a time into the hot oil. Fry only moderate amounts of frozen food at a time, making sure to remove freezer burn or any excess ice before cooking. If frozen pieces get stuck together, they should be allowed to defrost slightly and then broken up before inserting into hot oil. DO NOT LEAVE UNATTENDED WHEN FRYING.
Fry for about 5–7 mins, turning evenly until crispy.
Serve fries with salad, garlic sauce and ketchup. Alternatively, you can serve with sprinkled Suya spice instead of ketchup.
