• 2 medium-sized tilapia fish
  • 1 pack Sympli Yam Cubes
  • 2 small fresh red peppers
  • ½ medium onion
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1½ tbsp ground crayfish
  • 1½ tbsp pepper soup spice
  • 1 seasoning cube
  • ½ tsp ground pepper
  • 5 basil leaves (Efinrin leaves)
  • Salt to taste


How to Prepare Yam and Fish Pepper Soup using Symplinatural Recipes;

Clean and gut the fish. Cut into 2 or 3 pieces each.

Heat up 475mL water and boil Sympli Yam Cubes for 5 minutes. Then drain, and set aside.

In another pot, add fish, chopped onions, minced garlic, seasoning cubes, salt and 700mL water. Cook on medium heat for 5 minutes.

Add pepper soup spice, crayfish and chopped red pepper. Stir gently to combine all ingredients. Leave to cook for 3 minutes.

Add yam cubes and leave to cook for another 3 minutes.

Finally, add chopped basil leaves, and turn off heat immediately. Leave to rest for about five minutes with lid on before serving.
