Ingredients

  • 1 pack Sympli Ripe Plantain Slices
  • 30g flour
  • 1 tbsp ground pepper
  • 3 seasoning Cubes
  • 1 tbsp ground crayfish
  • 1/2 tsp yeast
  • Vegetable Oil for Frying
  • 75g chopped onion
  • 240mL warm water

Preparation

In a bowl add yeast, and mix with the warm water.

In a food processor, add Sympli Ripe Plantain slices, ground pepper, crayfish, crushed seasoning cubes and the yeast mixture. Blend until smooth.

Add the blended plantain mixture to a bowl and slowly add flour while stirring evenly, until a thick batter is formed.

Heat oil for frying and scoop little balls of the plantain batter into the oil. Fry until golden brown.

CAUTION: The oil may bubble and pop out of the fryer. Place only one piece at a time into the hot oil. Fry only moderate amounts of frozen food at a time, making sure to remove freezer burn or any excess ice before cooking. If frozen pieces get stuck together, they should be allowed to defrost slightly and then broken up before inserting into hot oil. DO NOT LEAVE UNATTENDED WHEN FRYING.

Take out balls and strain to remove excess oil.

Serve warm.
