  • 1 pack of Sympli Yam Cubes
  • 128g of blended Tomatoes and Peppers (5 Tomatoes & 3 Peppers)
  • 128g of Red Crayfish
  • 1 medium sized Onion
  • 3 Red Peppers (habanero pepper)
  • 16g of Crayfish Powder
  • 3½ Seasoning Cubes
  • 2 cooking spoons of Palm Oil
  • 50g chopped Scent Leaves


How to Prepare Iwuk Abia – Efik Yam Pottage

Chop onions and pepper. Set aside.

Blend tomatoes and pepper to a smooth mix. Set aside.

Wash red crayfish, remove the head and the tail end. Set aside the middle.

In a medium pot, bring a cup of water to boil and add Sympli Yam Cubes.

Add chopped onions and pepper, blended tomatoes mix, seasoning cubes and stir. Allow to cook for 5 minutes

Add crayfish powder, red crayfish, palm oil and scent leaves, then stir.

Allow to cook for another 2 minutes and serve hot.
